Obituary of Alvin Waite

Alvin James Waite passed away unexpectedly August 10, 2012. Born August 25, 1949 in Lackawanna, NY, he was the son of Alvin I. and Mary (Connors) Waite. Alvin attended NCCC, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Case Western Reserve and St. Bonaventure University earning MS in Chemistry and MBA. Alvin started his career with Pratt and Lambert Paint where he worked for 20years and went to Santa Ana, CA with Behr Process as Vice President of Research and is a consultant for Behr to the present time. He is a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Past Noble Grand of Erie Lodge #22, member of Modestia Rebekah Lodge #66 and the American Chemical Society. Alvin is survived by his wife Denise (Atherton) Waite of Lockport; father of Reverend James A. Waite of Lockport and Jennifer (Jason) Broome and grandfather of Michael and Olivia all of Kenmore. He is also survived by his sister Mary Alice Waite of Lackawanna and nieces Deborah Wright of Kenmore, NY and Julie Smith of San Antonio, TX. Friends may call Sunday from 3 to 6 PM and Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Tuesday morning August 14th 2012 at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport, NY. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
