Obituary of Ruth E. Hodil
Ruth E. Hodil passed away January 11, 2025 in Elderwood of Lockport. Born May 22, 1938 in Olympia WA she was the daughter of William and Helen (Houge) Browning. Ruth worked as an aide at Heritage Manor in Lockport. She loved spending time with her family, listening to music, her dog Kody, cooking, and being with people. Ruth was predeceased by her husband Raymond Hodil, Sr. in 2002.
Ruth is survived by her children Raymond (Karen) Hodil, Jr., Dennis (Kimberly) Hodil, Ronald (Yvonne) Hodil, and Deana Hodil; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations to the Amercian Cancer Society, 1120 S. Goodman St., Rochester, NY 14620 or www.cancer.org would be appreciated by the family.
