Obituary of Jean Steiner Hyde

Jean Elizabeth Steiner Hyde passed away August 3, 2011 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born May 22, 1928 in Lockport she was the daughter of Charles and Dorothy (Fitzgerald) Steiner. Jean worked for the Niagara County Treasures Office where she was the principal accounting clerk for 10 years retiring in 1980. She enjoyed singing, quilting, wintering in Florida for the past 30 years and especially enjoyed caring for her family. Jean's life centered around her family and was a devoted caregiver to her husband of 61 years, Warren for the past 30 years.
Jean was the devoted wife to Warren C. Hyde of Lockport; cherished mother of Laurie (Douglas) Wilson of South Glenns Falls, NY, David (Cynthia) Hyde of Thurman, NY, Kenneth Hyde of Wilson, and Lynnette (Rob) Caughill of Newport beach, CA; beloved grandmother of thirteen and great grandmother of seven; loving sister of Sally Bullard of Lockport, Marcia Steiner of Florida, and the late Edward, William and Alice Steiner; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Friday 3-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:30 AM.
