Mary Ruth Hall Obituary

Mary R. Hall passed away on Friday July 5, 2024.  Born in Lockport on March 1, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Esther (nee Barlow) and Harry E. Jackson Jr.  Mary graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from SUNY Cortland.  She briefly taught in the Lockport City School District but left to raise her family and help out on the family farm.  After her kids were grown she worked in daycare.  She enjoyed needlework and loved spending time with her family. 


She is survived by her husband of 52 years, John “Jack” Hall; her children Marcus (Heather), John (Natalie), Thomas (Erin) and Caroline (Martin) Elton; her ten grandchildren: Taylor, Sean, Jared, Avery, Logan, Hayden, Harper, Jackson, Caleb and Seraphine; siblings Harry H. Jackson and Katherine (Leonard) Paine; also several nieces and nephews. Beside her parents, she was also predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth Jackson Pratt. 


There will be no prior visitation.  A graveside service will be held at a later date at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery.  Online Condolences at www.pruddenandkandt.com.
