Mary Paul (Dunker) Watkins of Lockport, NY peacefully entered heavenly rest on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. She was the daughter of Raymond Dunker and Norine (Schuler) Dunker. She graduated from DeSales High School in the vaunted class of 1978. 

After raising her children Mary went back to school to be a nurse, working at several local nursing homes where she demonstrated an extremely compassionate hand and was loved by many patients. Mary was also a dedicated student of world and U.S. history, and she loved the USA and to fly the beautiful Stars and Stripes. She was a big fan of sports, travel, music, reading, and getting the most out of each day. She was always there with a witty wisecrack, a helping hand or advice, and an accurate weather forecast.

She leaves behind beloved husband of 35 years, Gregory Watkins, daughters Siobhan (Billy) Schramm and Audrey (Sharon) Watkins-Fox, granddaughter Noelle Schramm- a true apple of her eye-; brothers Michael Dunker, Keith (Sharon) Dunker, and David Dunker, as well as many other dear friends and loved ones. She will be deeply missed but always cherished as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

In Mary's memory, we encourage you to appreciate each and every salubrious day, to always be prepared, and to remember that you can't always get what you want, but you get what you need. Friends and relatives are invited to donate to Niagara Hospice. 

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Saturday, May 25th at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport.  Interment will be in Wheatfield Cemetery.
