Obituary of Mary Ann Chunco
Mary Ann Chunco passed away at Elderwood in Lockport on May 22, 2024. Mary Ann was born on August 28, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of John and Gertrude (Washak) Chunco. Mary Graduated from Saint Patrick’s Catholic School in 1956 and Desales High School in 1960. She graduated from NCCC in 1972 and Niagara University in 1985 with a BSN in Nursing. Mary Ann was a member of her church choir. She retired from nursing at Lockport Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed cooking, canning, and quilting. She was a fan of the Buffalo Bills, Sabres, Boston Red Socks, and thoroughbred horse racing. Besides her parents Mary Ann was also predeceased by her brother Andrew (Janet) Chunco and sister Judith Chunco
Mary Ann is survived by her siblings Jack, Susan, and Robert. She is also survived by Bruce Wale, Robert (Barbara) Wale, Marcia (Ron) Walter; dear friends Christine Speck, Sue Yensan, Beth Cassidy and Jane Stroyan. Mary is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
