Ernest R. Clark passed away March 10, 2024 in Fox Run of Orchard Park.  Born August 11, 1937 in Arcadia, FL he was the son of Robert B. and Erma L. (Johnson) Clark.  Ernest went to Michigan State earning his bachelors degree and play for the NFL for the Detroit Lions from 1963-1967 and the St. Louis Cardinals in 1968.  He then owned and operated Lifelong Fitness in Detroit, MI for 20 years. 

Ernest is survived by his daughters Cheryl Clark and Martha (late Rufus) Sample; three grandchildren; siblings Milton Clark, Wayne Clark, Catherine Johnson, and Gwendolyn Oest; also several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his siblings Rufus Clark, Charles Clark, Johnnie Mae Morant, Ruth Mae McKenzie, Vera Mae Brown, Betty Joyce Gadsen, Barbara Jean Beauford, Stella Mae Jackson, Beverly Ann Clark, Elaine Clark, and Geraldine Clark.
