To the Coumont extended family: I am so sorry to read of Gene's passing, I fondly remember delivering the Courier-Express to him on High Street for several years. He was interested to know that I had played the trombone. We send our condolences to you from New Mexico, our recent new home.

I am sadden to learn of the passing Gene " Rudy" Coumont. Back in the late 1950's we were member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Marching Band for three years. During the winter months, we had practices on Sunday afternoons and parades almost every Saturday during the summer. I will always remembered those days of his kind friendship and wonderful experience with Gene and the marching band. After 50 years, we reconnected at our the LSHA Class of 1962 Reunion. My condolences to his wife and family.

Uncle Gene, you will be sadly missed by everyone. You were always the life of the party. You always made me laugh until i cried. I will never forget the good ole day's on Regent Street. I always loved it when my Mom and Dad went camping and i stayed with you and Auntie Jude. Some of the BEST day's of my life. I have always loved you.

Rudy was a great guy. First met him at his grandson's graduation party, where he "ordered up a beer!" Great sense of humor and an avid Piccolo player in the fife and bugle corp! He used to park his bus outside the store during his 'between runs' break and we would always kibitz. We will miss him!
