We met Elmer through the Masters of the Trowel, the 1977 Masters group of the Niagara-Orleans District. My wife and I have many pleasant memories of Elmer and his wife, Jane at various District and group activities that year and for several ensuing years. Mrs. Walter, Mark, David, Craig and family ... I'm very sorry to hear of Mr. Walter's passing. I remember your family fondly from St. Paul's UCC Wendelville church. He was a wonderful man, always very kind. I have happy memories of our friendships during that time and during our years at Starpoint. So sorry for your loss. Elmer was a great man and very dedicated to whatever he got himself involved with. I had the honor to work with him in the Volunteer Fire Service. Elmer was a good President of the Niagara County Volunteer Firemen's Association. Linda and I will always remember Elmer & Jane as we they supported the many events we shared with them both. God Bless the family in this time of loss.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Elmer. I am also a member of Niagara Lodge #375 and Elmer was always a great mentor to me as I went through the chairs. He was also a Past Purple (Grand Sword Bearer) of the Niagara-Orleans District and an active member of the concordant bodies associated with Masonry. I was always proud to be a friend to Elmer and Jane. Sue and I will always treasure our time with them.
