Obituary of Kenneth T. Wilkins
Kenneth T. Wilkins went HOME to be with Jesus on August 16, 2023, in Elderwood at Lockport. Born October 22, 1933, in Girard, Pa., he grew up in Fairview Pa. He was the son of Albert and Evelyn (Struchen) Wilkins. Kenneth served in the US Army from1955 to 1958, He married Joan Craig on February 3, 1957. He worked as a service technician at Air Liquide in Niagara Falls for 34 years. Ken was a faithful servant to God, family, and church, serving in many capacities. He was a board member, Royal Ranger commander, branch manager and friend to all. Upon retirement he and his navigator, also known as his wife Joan, enjoyed traveling the country in their coach, making friends at every stop. His goal in life was to make people smile. He was a year-round Santa Claus, handing out candy canes to all, young and old. He enjoyed bark carving and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 66 years Joan (Craig) Wilkins; children Kathleen (Ronald) Friedersdorf, Mark (Sharon) Wilkins, George (Cindi) Wilkins, and Joel (Melody) Wilkins; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 siblings, Wayne (Daisy) Wilkins and Gary (Donna) Wilkins; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Joanne (Norman) Rogers and Bruce (Alene) Wilkins.
