Dear Joan & family,
I’m so sad to see Kenneth’s obituary. My heart is in my feet. He use to follow us out of church and encourage our kids and family before we moved. He always had candy canes in his pocket and joy in his heart. He loved us and we loved him. I know he loved you, Joan so much. There are so many memories you both shared with us about your RV travels. Please know that I’m praying for you. I wish I could be there to share my condolences and hug you in person. What a wonderful wife and tremendous blessing you have been to Kenneth. We love you guys so much and are definitely grieving with you. Love the Sheldon’s

George & Joel,
Sorry for your loss.
I remember your dad from the pig roasts. He'd be smiling and whittling chickens from twigs. A fun guy to be around.

It’s my big brother Ken,
I know you will be checking these messages so I want you to know how much I really loved having you for one of my big brothers. You were so special by showing all of us how to bring joy into peoples lives. Just like with Bruce I wish we had spent more time together in our later years but that made our times together really special. Rest in peace Brother and I plant to
join you in our life after life, God be willing. Little bro, Gary

Dear Gpa, I will miss having you at the head of the table and as the life of the party every time we get together. I will miss the way you never left any doubt whether you loved me, and that I never had to seek or earn your approval and love, you poured it out on me like no one else! I will miss the way you never embarrassed me in public, no matter how silly and random you were with complete strangers--even those scary biker dudes we met outside a restaurant that one time! I'm so glad we know the same Jesus, and we will be in the same Heaven some day. I love you and look forward to the day we meet again in the presence of our Lord and Savior!

Most of my conversations with Grandpa were about John Wayne, squirrels, guns, and art, haha.
I'm really glad Grandma and Grandpa were able to settle down nearby, this gave me a chance to really hang out and connect with them. I got to watch a lot of John Wayne movies with Grandpa and my sister at their house. He was SO excited to share his favorite star, John Wayne, with us, and I really enjoyed watching the movies too! I'm really glad we got to spend those evenings with him, he was always so excited and smiled ear to ear. He loved to tell us about his favorite John Wayne movie scenes, as well as other stories from his life. I'll never forget his pet pig that escaped from his pen, and went to school to find Grandpa! That pig was smart enough to wait at the side of the road for traffic to stop before crossing, all on his own!
Every time I visited, it was also fun to hear Grandpa's report about the devious squirrels he saw since the last time I was there. We tried many things to keep the squirrels out of the bird feeders, but amazingly they kept finding ways to: knock them down, dump the seed out, perform great acrobatics to reach it, and somehow even get stuck inside them! I helped Grandpa realign the scope on his air rifle many times. Then we would sit for a while and shoot some targets, we had a lot of fun! I added a photo from one of the times that I helped Grandpa adjust the scope in 2018. Grandpa took the shooting target sheet home, circled the 1 inch grouping of shots(that's when you know you've aligned the sights properly), and brought it back to me as a gift. It's been hanging up on my closet ever since.
I read through all the birthday cards I kept, from Grandma and Grandpa, and in more than half of them Grandpa mentions my art. He was always so supportive of my artistic endeavors. He loved so much to see what I had made whenever he visited, and I was always excited to show him! He wrote in some of the cards that he looked forward to seeing what I made next. Grandpa liked to carve, and I was always excited to when I visited him! My Dad and I once stayed with him in the camper at the camp ground, and Grandpa taught me how to carve! I was fascinated how he made roosters and hens from little branches. The way he curled the rooster tails was so cool and simple! It's the same way you curl ribbon, I never imagined that'd work on wood! He even made me a copy of his 2 favorite wood carving books, which I still have. I also still have a hen Grandpa carved for me, probably about 10 years ago, I included a photo of that too. Grandpa also liked to carve faces and houses into bark. The way he discovered paths, stairs, roofs, windows and houses, all in different shapes, within the waves of the bark, showed how much of an artist at heart he was. He had wonderful and whimsical imagination in creating, and I inherited it from him! And I am very glad I did! Grandpa taught a lot of people how to carve. I will never forget what he told me when he met a man with Parkinson's one day. The man's hands shook, and he had difficulty doing anything because of it. Grandpa said everytime he saw him, he was just sitting there in the chair. When Grandpa got to talk to him, he told the man, the motions of his hand looked just like he was carving wood. So Grandpa taught him how to carve, and the man loved it so much it became his hobby. Grandpa gave him a way to be productive, and I love that. Grandpa cared so much about other people, he went out of his way to make anyones day better. He loved to make people laugh, loved to make people smile. He loved to spread joy! I am very blessed to have grown up with him. I look forward to the family reunion in heaven someday!

Gramps-
I will miss you forever.
You were an example of what really mattered
God- Family- People
You were always kind and gentle. You were patient and kind and most of all fun
Always full of an adventure- always with a ‘sure, why not attitude’. Always wanting us to laugh, smile and have fun. You would let us hook our own worms in Red Lion and let us drive Uncle Georges go kart ( even though we were just a little too short) I remember how cool you were for letting us pull the lever on your wood splitting machine- thinking wow you trusted me with this big important job. And The craziest thing to me now as an adult - is that you would let us eat your crabs you bought for dinner- you would let us hammer our own crabs completely destroying it and yell hit again! Yeah!
I am sure you had selfish times- but from the perspective of your granddaughter I don’t remember ever seeing them.
Even when people were just existing you took it as your job to make them smile
You made an impact- you made a difference- by handing out candy canes, or calling someone Florence, or teaching them how to carve a chicken- You went out of your way to make people feel important and loved
People will always remember you- we will always remember you- I will always remember you.
Thank you for teaching us Loving Jesus- Family and People is what it is all about
So Gramps cheers to you with an Oreo and a Coke
Our silly- quirky- Gramps
I am glad you had fun- and I have no doubt you are still having fun
Your legacy lives on in all of us
Katrina

What can I even say about you Gramps? You were so much to so many people and touched so many lives for the better. I always knew you were someone special but hearing from everyone that loved you has solidified that even further! I will miss your jokes, your laughs, your notes in our cards, and the way you would take my face in your hand and say “hello beautiful” every time I saw you. I love you!

Dad, you're the best Thanks for a wonderful life. We may not have been the richest people around monetarily, but we were definitely the riches in terms of family. Thanks for being a father to the fatherless and a friend to everyone. You knew when to discipline, and when not to, when to be a dad and when to be a friend. You will influence my life until the day I die. I love you and cherish you. We promise to take care of Mom. And Mom, you are the best as well.
The two of you together is what made our family what it is today. Words fall short of the feelings I have for my family. I LOVE YOU ALL.
When we all get to Heaven, what a wonderful day that will be.

I am so blessed to be part of the Wilkins family. Dad's eyes would light up whenever he saw me and he always made me feel special and loved. He had a sweet smile and a loving heart and I was always his "CB". He was a great comfort to me when my Dad became terminally ill, because I knew that my Dad was special to him too. I love to think of both my Dads being reunited in heaven. Ken and his buddy "Ernie".
I love you Dad and look forward to the day when we'll all be together with our Savior and never have to say goodbye again. Love, Cindi "CB"

What can I say about my dad…. I hated to see you in the condition you were in, but I hate it more now that you’re gone. I thank God that I have the hope of seeing you again soon. Thanks for all the love and awesome memories. We will miss you more than words can express.
You’ve taught me and many others what it means to make the necessary sacrifices to see that your family has all they need. My memories are innumerable and will not be forgotten.
I love you Dad, Mark

From the moment I met “Santa”, I fell in love. He had the kindest soul and always greeted me as if he’d known me my entire life. He welcomed me from the moment I stepped inside the church doors and took me in as one of his own. Every Sunday, he would come and tap me on my shoulder and say hello. I still have the little barn that he carved for me and I will cherish it always.
His passing is a loss to so many lives that he touched. While we will mourn him in our lives here on Earth, we can look forward to our meeting in the hereafter.
We send our love and deepest condolences to his precious family.
Love Joy, Dave and Kale Rouse

So sad to hear of Ken’s passing, but I cherish the times we spent together when I was interim Pastor and Assistant Pastor at Lewiston Assembly Of God. I stopped at Ken and Joan’s nearly every day, and they treated me like family. I love the Wilkins family dearly, and send my deepest condolences.

To me he was always an unchanging force in my life, someone who was unbreakable, always standing strong. To be young and see the love he brought to his family, and the ones around him, it was a-lot to live up to. He showed me how a real man needs to act
He loved me, I don’t know why because he never had to, but he always loved me Mercy and Tristan.
Every time he knew he was gonna see me he would get me “coal” it was like polished coal rocks. I kept every single one for years, had a small bucket that kept them all, and I used to carry one in my patrol bag
Please give my love to everyone from Poland. I wish I could be home
