Gwen's mom and I were cousins, but Gwen was a few months older than me. After moving to Maryland in 1971 I lost contact with Gwen and Bob Darby, searched through various websites; I thank Penny who gave me Gwen's address and I wrote to her. It was wonderful to see her and Pat when I was in NY July 2015, she was so bubbly and enjoyed showing me her garden. She reminded me of some of her memories. We were girls together, long walks from my house to the Buffalo Zoo, walked all around and all over the zoo, then walked home again. Her family lived in the country and I would have sleep overs out there. Her dad had a huge Great Dane, buff colored, named Froushia, she jumped up on my dad putting her front paws on his shoulders and ended up taller than my dad. I will miss knowing that Gwen is there and happy with Pat and her family.
