Obituary of Margaret Hand

Margaret “Peggy” Hand passed away April 13, 2023 in Niagara Hospice House.  Born July 8, 1953 in Buffalo she was the daughter of Robert and Eleanor (Gorges) Saxer.  Peggy worked at Bender Christian Supplies for many years where she was the branch manager, leaving to raise her family.  She also owned and operated “Hand Inn Hand Enterprises” which was a Shaklee Wellness Distributorship.  Peggy also ran a farming business distributing fresh organic fruits and vegetables to the local community.  Her last place of employment was with Christian Home Companions.

Peggy was an active member of Ridgewood Bible Church being involved with AWNA and L.I.P.S. (Ladies In Prayer Service).  While being a former member of the Chapel on North Forest Road in Amherst she taught Bible class to the deaf children in sign language.  Peggy was an avid reader reading the Tolkein books, Jesus Freaks, and the Bible.  

Peggy is survived by her husband of 42 years Dennis Hand; children Christina E. (Jordan) Bancala, Benjamin C. Hand, and Eddie Lee (Chas) Hand; also nine grandchildren.
