I have known John since he interviewed me in 1980 for a position at Hooker Chemical. Beginning in the mid 90s we met for lunch monthly until the pandemic began. I always looked forward to these enjoyable lunch conversations with John where we would discuss politics, the economy, the British monarchy and of course his family. He would proudly tell me about his family member's personalities, achievements and what they were currently up to. I can visualize of his daughter's lives in beautiful California. I also recall a time in the early 2000's when we were interviewed by the national news for our diverse opinions on the Iraq war. John was a genuinely good person and will be missed by all who knew him.
