Obituary of Monica Dolores Barrett

Monica D. Barrett passed away on Friday April 14th, 2023 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.  Born in Buffalo on September 13, 1930, she was the daughter of the late August and Rose (Banach) Spulecki.  Monica retired in 2019 from Odd Fellows and Rebekah Health Care Facility as a Administrative Secretary for 35 years.  Monica was a member of the Dale Association and St. Brendan Senior group, planning many trips for the groups.

Monica is predeceased by her husband Raymond C. Barrett, who passed away in 2005.  She was the mother of David (Sharon) Barrett, the late Patrick (Kathy) Barrett and the late Christopher Barrett.  Grandmother of Brian (Claire) Barrett, Daniel (Marc Solomon) Barrett, Kara Barrett, Sahara (Corey) Hunhoff and three great grandchildren.  Monica was the sister of David (Geri) Spulecki, Jerome Spulecki, the late Arthur (Jimmie Lee) Spulecki and the late Gregory Spulecki.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Wednesday April 19th 4-7 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday April 20th at 10 AM in All Saints RC Parish, 76 Church St. Lockport.  Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.  In Lieu of flowers, memorials to Brothers of Mercy Foundation or to Connect Life would be appreciated by the family.  Online condolences at www.pruddenandkandt.com.
