Obituary of Donald R. Dean

Donald R. Dean passed away October 6, 2022 at University Hospital in Parma, Ohio.   Born October 12, 1938 in Lockport he was the son of Harold O. and Marion M. (McVeigh) Dean.  Donald worked for C-S Inc/Manchester Partners International in Buffalo from 1996-1999 where he held the position of Vice President.  Prior to that he worked for Nixon Uniform Services Inc., M&T Bank, Payne-Lendman Inc., Virginia Chemical Inc., and Arco Chemical Company hold managerial positions.  Donald also wrote four books and enjoyed traveling.  He was predeceased by his daughter Deborah Dean.

Donald is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sheila (Phillips) Dean; children Christopher M. (Carolyn) Dean, Daniel H. (Darlene) Dean, Jeffrey J. (Julie) Dean, and Jonathan C. Dean; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren; sister Dianne (Michael) Zakes; also several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, Oct. 12th from 4-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, Oct. 13th at 10 AM in All Saints Parish, 76 Church St., Lockport.  Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.  Flowers are declined.  Donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 31805 or at www.st.jude.org would be appreciated.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
