I have so many fond memories of Mr. Roussie. I remember playing with his daughters on the swing set he built, This Cat and That Cat, and hours of swimming in his pool. My favorite memories are of him and my pony, Mohawk. He and his family generously let us keep the pony in their yard and barn, allowing me to fulfill my dream of having a horse. He played with Mohawk as if he was a dog, both of them thoroughly enjoying each other. To his family, my dear childhood neighbors, I am thinking of you and may you find peace in your memories of him. So sad to say ‘goodbye’ to a dear cousin. We had many fun, family memories of living next door on River Road along with our wonderful Aunt Ruth. Brian always welcomed Bill as “Teacher of Schools” and Bill always answered him with ”Driver of Trucks!” I can just imagine that it’s being said to each other again.
