My heartfelt condolences to the Ruppert family. I had the pleasure of encountering Hal from Sept-June on a nearly weekly basis during his time at O/N BOCES as he made his way to his Coaching Certification Service office. Remembered with much fondness, Hal always had a kind, soft spoken word, warm smile, and story to share.

Coach. Mentor. Father figure. Friend. Gentleman. Mr. Ruppert was all of these and more to countless men, women and children. I am fortunate enough to call him all of these for 45+ years. I will miss our annual phone conversations at Christmas time and our visits with him and Mrs. Ruppert whenever I would travel back home. His spirit and kindness will live on forever. To a life well lived, Rest In Peace Mr. Ruppert!
