Sorry to hear of the passing of a former childhood neighbor. Growing up, the Ben's lived on Oliver Street and my family lived on Erie Street at the end of Oliver. Anthony was known as Nene. It was years before I knew his name was Anthony. Rest in Peace Nene. You were an inspiration to many having made your mark in education.

My mother, Ann Gephart, worked part time for Mr. Ben years and years ago and adored him. He was a handsome gentleman that I had the pleasure to know for many years as I babysat for Jim when I was in middle school (formerly known as junior high). Rest In Peace and have a dance with my mom. Prayers and love to his family.

I will never forget the kindness and generosity shown to me by both Anthony and Earlene. As a young friend of Jim’s they welcomed me into their home, fed me many meals and treated me as family. A kindness that I will never forget.
It is with great sadness I heard of his passing. I hope his family takes comfort in knowing that he was a positive influence in my life.
May he Rest In Peace.

I was very sad to hear the passing of Anthony. He was always glad to see me when I stopped by the office and always took time to chat for a bit. He also treated my entire family like his own. My heartfelt condolences to the entire family. Until we meet again . Good bless
