Thanks for everything marky. You gave me shelter when I had none. You never passed judgement, even when I was a shithead. You always shared a beer and an ear when I needed it. He was another wrencher that did more than he talked. Sorry to hear you passed on. I appreciate you.

My deepest and most sincere condolences to Mark's family, extended family, friends and his pets. I also did not know Mark personally but came here to show my respect and to honor a soldier of this nation. Recently, I tracked down an uncle of mine that I had never met and found him in a National Cemetery for our veterans. I cannot explain.how it felt to see his gravestone etched with my family surname and the thousands of exact same marker-stones on each of their graves. In the cemetery there were no big personal monuments to generals, majors, astronauts or privates -- all being equal at the end. I was genuinely moved not having served myself, but my family however has been in every single combat action and war since before this country was this country. With that in my mind, I was more than honored to even be standing in this cemetery among all those heroes that had given so much, so bravely. They had given their "all". So in closing Mark and family, even though you were not killed in battle, you are still a hero in my book and surely in that big heavenly book that is kept by our creator. I wish you well, peace and rest. Know that we respect and honor you and your service to this country. I refuse to mention 45 in this note -- suffice it to say that there are now hundreds, nay, thousands of people that will know who you were, that you served us all honorably and with the kind of bravery that's reserved for the love of Family, God and Country. Rest in peace brother. Concern yourself not about what we are now dealing with. This too will pass. God Bless your family and friends and other loved ones. May they all find peace and joy in your memory. Salute & Taps.

I never met Mark. In fact I don't even live the U.S. Who knows why Mark joined the military service. It might have been to truly serve his country, to see the world, prestige or whatever the case may be. The point is, he joined the military and for anyone to suggest that he was a loser or sucker without evidence to prove that is disgusting.

I will be 70 in January and my husband in March. Mark, I truly appreciate your service. Our so-called president avoided military service because of his connections. My father was a WWII veteran. If not for our veterans, we would not be enjoying the freedoms we have today. But our so-called president doesn't think about that. In fact, he doesn't think at all. My sincere condolences to your entire family and, again, thank you for your service in Vietnam.

To the family and friends of Mr Schroeder; my condolences go out to you for your loss. I did not know Mr Schroeder but I know men of his character who served in Viet Nam. Thank you, Mark Schroeder for your service and sacrifice to this country. Because of you, and men and women who served, this is what makes this country great. Not great because we are perfect, but great because we can change and strive to be better...but it take people like you that lay it on the line for all of us. Rest in peace, brother.

I did not know Mark at all. As a son of a Vietnam Vet, I would like to apologize on behalf of this country, for having you endure the nonsense that the world has become in your final years. To know that you even had to hear a "leader" of the Free World describe deceased veterans as suckers and losers breaks my heart. My father is still alive, and I can almost guarantee that hearing his deceased brothers being called those names is infuriating. I truly am so sorry that you had to deal with that.
Now that you are gone, please rest easy and in peace. You were a hero when you were alive, and I'm sure your legacy will be a heroic one for the rest of time.

I did not know Mark, but like my cousin who served In Country during Nam, friends and classmates brothers who were KIA's, friends husbands and a very close personal friend of mine who succumbed to agent orange. I put my hand over my heart and salute you. I always found it sad that the soldiers got caught in the crossfire of the protests. In a war it was kill or be killed, if you were not there you knew nothing. Myself and those I knew protested the war, not those that were sent there to fight it. I witnessed the horrid flashbacks of a friends brother at the age of 11 in 68'. The same monstrous year that took MLK and Bobby Kennedy, the end of my childhood. So my heartfelt condolences to Mark's family. Something a Trump family will never have to comprehend. "The Cost of Freedom".
From the daughter of a WWII Navy Vet. Detroit, Mi.

"Peace" to the whole world.

I am also a Vietnam Vet from New Hampshire. Any man, especially one who holds an elected office representing the people of his nation who disparages and degrades the honorable service and sacrifice of their own nations warriors should be cast out from citizenship and most assuredly despised as a man without character or conscience.

He never served. {Bone Head...I mean Spurs) He is not Presidential. He is a lost soul. In November, the real looser will receive his "Marching Orders" from an overwhelming number of Americans!

There is a bond among the men and women who defended our country. We Vets do NOT support a president who has no respect for us and our sacrifices. We all know who the loser and sucker is. He thought we were stupid to serve our country. He found a fortunate son, cowardly way around going to Vietnam.... something like the spurs on his boots were too tight. Fnough about that loser!
Mark, I see your strength in your photo here, your kindness, thoughtfulness and caring for others.

I didn't know Mark that well. But, I did know how he made his family and friends feel. I saw their faces when they were next to him. Mark had a gravitational pull. Mark was my best friends uncle and everytime Sarah was around him she was home and I could see that in her face when we were there. I loved going with her to party in that garage. Everyone had the best most relaxed time just drinkng beers and loving the stray animals.
It was home to family, and friends and so many sweet lost kitties who needed homes. Mark made Scott smile, smile more than I'd ever seen him smile. A love between brothers. Shannon's face lit up everytime Mark was near. They had a such a special bond. I may not have known Mark very personally, but I experienced the affect he had on his family members and I always knew that was special. He was king of his domain. All my love to all of the sweet Schroeder's. ❤
