Obituary of Shirley R. Licata
Shirley R. Licata, beloved mother and nani, entered into eternal rest July 15, 2019 in Elderwood at Lockport. Born May 9, 1938 in Royalton she was the daughter of Richard G. and Alice L. (Giertz) Marcks. Shirley was a beautician for many years and she served on the Board of Elections. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, making jewelry, and enjoyed traveling to Florida. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Vincent Licata on January 30, 1988.
Shirley is survived by her children Sandra (Jeffrey) Cilibetro, Salvatore ‘Sal’ (April Elizabeth) Licata, and Anthony Licata; grandchildren Christopher Fredrick and Alyssa Licata; sister-in-law of Joseph Lydston and Louis Licata; also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sisters Gladys Hill and Ruth Lydston.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, July 18th from 4-7 PM with services following at 7 PM all in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery on Friday, July 19th at 11 AM. Memorial donations to the Dale Association would be appreciated by the family. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
