Mrs. Sansone was a great teacher and will be greatly missed by her students. My son Andrew had her last year and this year and misses her alot. She was such a great teacher and a great role model for him. All the students who had her and who will miss having her will suffer a loss. The teaching field needs more teachers like her.

Dear Marc and family - Sherry will be so missed. I retired from teaching last June from Charles A. Upson Elementary School and saying good bye to Sherry was so hard. She touched the lives of so many people - students, co-workers, and her special service personnel. Her love for the men and women in the armed services was so catching. She got so many of us involved with writing letters, making cards, and collecting items that she would pack up and send overseas. My wife and I are in Florida when we got the sad news of Sherry's passing. We will miss the memorial service at First Presbyterian but please know that our hearts will be with you all. Sherry's shining presence guided so many of us while she was on earth. May the many Tiffany window angels at 1st Presbyterian remind us all that Sherry is now free from pain in heaven with the angels continuing her ministry there as she so willingly practiced on earth. Sherry, I look forward to our meeting in heaven. Keep a seat warm for me. Your friend, Bob Billingsley November 4, 2010, 8:56 PM

My name is Kim Kuczon and I taught with Sherry at La Entrada School in Menlo Park California several years ago. My fondest memories of Sherry was her laugh that made me crack up! Every time she was in the room she was smiling, laughing and telling stories. I am so sorry to hear about her passing. My thought and prayers go out to her family and friends and all the students who were lucky enough to have been taught by Sherry.

Lockport has lost a tremendous and irreplacable teacher and patriot. I just wanted to express my deep appreciation for Sherry's continuous efforts above and beyond the call of duty. Our family will miss Sherry at the annual Outwater Park veterans tributes. Sherry's legacy of love will forever live in the hearts of her students and our close-knit community. Keep the faith.

Marc, We are so sorry for your great loss. Sherry was such a wonderfull person, teacher and wife. I remember talking to her a long time ago about her time in the Air Force and remarked to Aunt Sharon that I would have been proud to have served with her. We feel your great loss. I'm sure she is already organizing the angels to support some sort of fund drive for the troops. Please take care of yourself. Love Uncle Joe and Aunt Sharon.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Sherry's passing. I will always remember all of the fun times we had as kids and neighbors as part of the Dorchester gang. Sherry built quite an impressive resume and I am sure the Lord has called on her to assist him and continue her talents in a better place. God bless.
