Dear Kinsey, We just learned of Barry's passing. Our hearts are saddened and are with you, dear friend. Barry and You were always devoted to one another, best friends singing each others joys and rejoicing in what truly matters. . .nurturing, encouraging, Loving God by caring for your neighbors and all His gentle creatures; sharing, caring, and Believing! The poet in You Cappy cherished and we pray You take care of Kinsey for all of those who need the Light you wrote so tenderly of. He beholds Him face to face. Love, Selena, Alisa, Marylou

Dear Kinsey, We are so very sad to read of the passing of our dear friend, Barry. We go back so may years, from Barry's days on the Poughkeepsie Journal and the Times Herald Record. I first met Barry at Orange County Community in 1960 and we became friends for life. When I met Bette, he became her friend for life, too. When I married Bette, he was my best man. And I was fortunate enough to be able to return the honor when you and Barry got married. We knew something was terribly wrong when Barry did not answer my repeated emails. He had kept us informed about his recent medical problems and we were very worried. He was a very special human being and we will miss him very much. It was very special when we met for lunch in Lockport 4 years ago. It was so goo to see you both and it is a memory we will always cherish.

Dr. Barry hired me as an adjunct professor of journalism at Canisius College and was a dear colleague. A print journalist himself, he frequently asked me to share "war stories" with him (and his class) about my reporting at the Buffalo News, particularly on the Mafia. He was a colorful man, a member of the last generation of swashbuckling journalists, and will be sadly missed.
