Obituary of James M. Donner

James M. Donner passed away Wednesday July 6, 2016 in Lockport. Born in Buffalo on February 3, 1958, he was the son of the late Theodore and Ethel Hess Donner. James was a clerk for the Niagara County DMV in both the Lockport and North Tonawanda Offices. He also was a professional photographer, owning his own company named Striking Image. He also enjoyed biking and participated in the Tour de Cure, for diabetes Research and the Ride for Roswell. James was the devoted caregiver to his mother, Ethel, who just recently passed away. He also enjoyed his African Gray Parrots, Doc and Ike. James was the dear brother of William (late Gloria) Donner, Mark (Catherine) Donner, Kathy (Fred) Smith, Judy (Michael) Hill and the late Joseph Donner. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Monday July 11th 4-8 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday July 12th at 10 AM, at St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorials to the American Diabetes Association, 4955 N. Bailey Avenue, Suite 217, Amherst, New York, 14226 or to Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, Elm & Carlton Streets, Buffalo, NY 14263, would be appreciated by the family.
