Obituary of David L. Craig

David L. Craig passed away June 21, 2016 in the Presbyterian Home of Lockport. Born in Lockport on March 13, 1925 he was the son of Morris and Elizabeth (Conley) Craig. David served in the US Navy from 1943 to 1946 aboard the USS PC 586 and was awarded the Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Star and the Philippine Liberation Medal. He worked for Harrison radiator for 30 years where he was an engineering liaison retiring in 1986. David was a volunteer with Lockport Meals-on-Wheels, belonged to All Saints Parish, AOH and VFW and enjoyed fishing, playing golf and bridge. He was predeceased by his wife Janice (O'Rielly) Craig on December 24, 1996.
David is survived by his children Diane Craig of Lockport, Theresa (Mark) Braaten of Balston Spa, NY and Timothy (Lori) Craig of East Amherst; grandfather of Brian (Liz) Craig, Jeffrey Craig, Melissa (Nelson) Neese, and Christopher (Niamh) Braaten; brother of Robert Craig and May McCarthy; several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, June 23rd from 3-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 24th at 10 AM in All Saints Parish, 76 Church St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Donations to All Saints Parish or Meals-On-Wheels or the Alzheimers Association of WNY would be appreciated. Visit www.pruddenandkandt.com.
