Obituary of Douglas E. Haak

Douglas E. Haak, Sr. passed away suddenly November 9, 2015. Born in Lockport on February 5, 1947 he was the son of Clarence G. and Leona May (Snell) Haak. Douglas was a 1965 graduate of Lockport High School and served in the US Army from 1966 to 1968. He was self-employed owner of 4 Season Mobile Home Construction Co., in Lockport. He was a member of the American Legion B. Leo Dolan Post 410 where he served as a past president, American Legion Riders Post #1451 in Wheatfield, also belonged to the Eagles where he was cook for 10 years, VFW, Navy Marine Club, Moose, and IOOB. Douglas enjoyed fishing, cooking, attending car shows, was an avid motorcyclist, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family. He was predeceased by his wife Carole R. (Burke) Haak on July 3, 2006.
Douglas is survived by his son Douglas (Carmela) Haak, Jr. of Lockport; grandfather of Victoria and Anthony Haak; brother of Marilyn Parm of Florida, Gary (Eileen) Haak of Appleton, Ronald (Anne) Haak of Angola, and Sharon (Howard) Matthews of Lockport; brother-in-law of Sandra Burke; his faithful companion, his dog "Rocky" and is also by survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, Nov. 12th from 7-9 PM and Friday, Nov. 13th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 14th at 10 AM.
