Obituary of William Davin

William L. Davin passed away May 17, 2010 in Buffalo General Hospital. Born December 28, 1939 he was the son of John and Helen (McGaugh) Davin, Sr. William was a 1958 graduate of DeSales Catholic High School and served in the US Army from 1958 to 1960 and 1961 to 1962. He was the Vice President and a salesman for Lock City Supply for 35 years retiring in 2004. William was a member of the BPOE 41, American Legion, AOH, Lockport Town & Country Club and the WNY Water Works Conference.
William is survived by his wife of 42 years Carol (MacDonald) Davin of Lockport. He is also survived by his brother John W. (Ava) Davin, Jr. of Rochester Hills,MI; brother-in-law of Helen (John) Coleman, Robert (Dawn) MacDonald, Kay (late John) Lange, Dennis (Roberta) MacDonald and Rita (Thomas) Heary all of Lockport and the late Charles (Betty) MacDonald. William is also survived by several, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
Relatives and friends may call Wednesday 7-9 PM and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM to be celebrated Friday in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
