We sure loved Bill, as did everyone! He always had that big grin on his face, ever ready to tell one of his famous jokes. Bill was a real presence wherever he was and we will miss him terribly. He was a true friend.

It is with great sadness we hear of your loss. We considered Bill a great friend for many years. I loved to listen to his jokes and stories all the while trying to tell him one better. He in the same breath would do the same. As one Elk to another, til we meet again.

Our thoughts & prayers are with you now & always. Bill was one of the funniest men we've ever met. Although we didn't have the opportunity to know him as well as most...we are proud to have known him. He was a very kind hearted and funny man. We will miss his laugh & his endless joke telling. Our hearts go out to Carol & the family. We love you.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Carol and all the family members of Bill. He was my other big brother next to my real big brother Don Smith.I always received a big hug when i ran into Bill and heard stories about Don and their years at DeSales and what kind of trouble (or not) they would get into throughout their years in and out of school. i will sure miss running into him and listening to those stories. May you and your family be comforted to know that he is in heaven looking down on you with his big smile and all his love in the world. He will always be there on your shoulder guiding you throughout your life. God Bless you all!

Carol, Kathi and I send our condolences and prayers to you and your family on the passing of Bill. Bill was a great guy and a very old friend going back to first grade at St. John's school. I remember when they had to bring a desk from third grade for Bill because he was too big for the first grade desks. He will be missed by all of us. We will keep him in our prayers.
