Obituary of John Stevenson

John Stevenson passed away May 18, 2015 in Niagara Hospice House . Born in Monaville West Virginia on March 30, 1926 he was the son of Harry and Esther A. Boardman Stevenson. John served in the US Navy from 1944 to 1946 being awarded the American Theatre Medal, the Victory Medal, and the Asiatic Pacific Medal. He graduated from New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark NJ earning his engineering degree. John was a member of the IEEE, Tau Beta Pi, and St. John's Episcopal Church in Huntington where he was in the choir, a youth group leader, church treasurer and a vestry member. He was also active in Christ Episcopal Church in Lockport. He enjoyed sailing, skiing, gardening and fixing things. John is survived by his wife Nellie B. Williams Stevenson of Lockport; father of Linda ( Richard Few ) of Lockport, Robert ( Louise) Stevenson of Holmdel , NJ and Joan ( Marc) Buie of Niwot, CO; grandfather of six and great grandfather of three; and brother of Margaret Maulick of Warren, NJ.
Relative and friends are invited to a funeral service on Saturday, March 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ
