Dear Mrs.Ashe: I am so very sorry to learn of John's passing. I was the one that was his bed mate in Strong Memorial Hospital. John and I shared many hunting and family stories. I know I only knew him a few days but he was so kind and a wounderful person when i seen his name in the paper i just could not believe it. I wish you and your family peace and comfort in this time of sorrow. Praying for you and yours Jason.

Dear Kathleen and Alice, John and my husband were room mates in Rochester Strong Hospital the end of April. He was such a kind man and you and your mother-in-law were so very sweet. When John was released he was so happy and looked so healthy I was just so saddened to see he had passed. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. When a warm breeze blows know it is John wrapping his arms around you from heaven, for he will forever be with you. Hunt well in heaven John!! With deepest sympathy, Jason and Michelle Naughton

I'm so sorry to hear about Johns passing. I worked with him and had more fun and laughs. He had a great sense of humor. Thousands of laughs and dreams were shared over the years. He was a great friend and a proud father who always shared his feelings for his sons. I will miss him dearly.

To John's wife and sons, I met and worked with John from 1978 to 1990 at Delphi.A kinder gentler man would be hard to find. What I will always remember is his laugh. It wasn't a laugh,as much as it was a chuckle. He was truly a nice guy.The world will be a little less bright without him.Our sincere condolences to the family. He will be missed. We are so sorry for your loss, Mike and Donna Naugle

As a one-time step sister to John, I remember him as kind, understanding, mature-beyond-his-years... and with a fine wit that made others see the fun of life. During some rough years of my personal rebellion, John was a source of comfort and wisdom. A good man. The world could use more like John Ashe. My fond greetings to John's mom, Alice; and his siblings, Gary and Karen. This note sends along a sincere hug and deep appreciation to the Lord for having once been part of their family. Ephesians 3: 20 & 21.

John, We both know that life calls for a variety of everyday fortitudes. But they never diminish what type of person or brother we are. Facing life's realities, its downs as well as its ups, is a kind of courage we must all learn. Courage you have mastered endurring all your health issues for so long. May you now rest in peace. "your little brother" Gary
