William Lytle Obituary

William F. Lytle passed away May 15, 2009. Born November 26, 1919 in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary Bale Lytle. He graduated from NYU with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and served in the US Navy as a Lieutenant during WW II. William was the owner and operator of Ridgewood Lumber in Wrights Corners. He was very active with the First Baptist Church, a member of the Lions Club and volunteered at Lockport Memorial Hospital, Literacy Tutoring at the Niagara County Jail and volunteered for 25 years with Meals on Wheels. William loved spending time at the YMCA. He is predeceased by his wife Celeste, who passed away February 6, 2008




William is survived by his wife Angela (Arias) Lytle of Lockport; father of Mary (Roderick) Munn of Cleveland, OH, Jane (Robert) Speer of Milwaukee, WI, Robert (Judith) Lytle of Boston, MA and Anne (Hyland) Hartsough of Rochester, NY; grandmother of nine; brother of the late Robert Lytle.




Visitation will be Monday afternoon 3 to 5 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc., 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. Private services will be held at the convenience of the Family. Interment will be in North Ridge Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorials to WNY Land Conservancy, 21 South Grove Street Suite 120, East Aurora, NY, 14052 or to the YMCA would be appreciated by the family.



Visitation

Visitation will be Monday afternoon 3 to 5 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc., 242 Genesee Street, Lockport.


Services

Private services will be held at the convenience of the Family.


Interment

Interment will be in North Ridge Cemetery.
