Obituary of Anthony Petti Sr.

Anthony M. Petti, Sr. passed away February 4, 2009 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Newfane. Born July 7, 1959 in Buffalo he is the son of Margaret "Peg" (Brennan) Petti of Buffalo and the late Anthony V. Petti. Anthony earned his Master Degree in Education from UB and was a teacher for 20 years at Barker Central School teaching high school English and was the Senior Class Advisor. He also coached softball, baseball, basketball, football, T-Ball coach for the town of Somerset and was the Summer Recreation Coordinator. Anthony also coached the Latrator Club, English Club and worked with the Writing Place Teacher and the WNY Writing Project. He enjoyed writing, music and was an avid sports fan. Beside his mother Anthony is also survived by his wife of ten years Rene (Moll) Petti of Barker; father of Joseph, Jacob, Noah Petti all of Clarence, Anthony Jr., Luke and Eli Petti all of Barker; brother of T.J. (Cami) Petti of North Tonawanda, Jack of Lackawanna, Sandy (Andrew) Tomasullo of Tonawanda, Rosemary Petti-Schaner, Laurel Petti and Cheryl Petti all of Buffalo. Relatives and friends may call Saturday 7-9 PM and Sunday 1-5 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport.
