To all of Greta's Family- You are in our thoughts and prayers. Just take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace and no longer in pain. It has been both a privelage and honor living next door to her for the past 11 years. She was not only our neighbor but our friend. We will surely miss not seeing, visiting and talking to her! If there is anything that we can do, please let us know. With Much Sympathy and Love- Scott, Tracy, Ryan & Kennedy

I was Greta's Sunday School teacher at the First Baptist Church. She was such a beautiful girl--both in her heart and in her appearance. I moved away from Lockport in 1969, but fondly remember Great and her brother, Walter. I send my deepest condolences to her wonderful family. May God bless and comfort each of you.

I am so very sorry to learn of Greta’s passing. She was a great lady and a very generous friend. I am a distant cousin of Greta’s related through our common Gibbs family connection. We met through the Niagara County Genealogical Society several years ago and have remained in contact since that time. Greta was an avid family historian and collected many details of family history going in any and all directions. I was amazed at the amount and detail of the information she collected, and remembered. She had a great recall of details that always amazed me. Greta was very generous with her findings and was always happy to share what she had researched. I was always several steps behind her in research so I fear I benefited from our friendship more than she did. On a few occasions when I was visiting Lockport, I called Greta and she would invite me over to her house to look at new family information she had found. I will always cherish these times. It was great keeping our departed family members “alive” through our interest and study. And, now Greta is among them all and getting her family information first hand. What a wonderful family reunion that must be. And while she will not return here to us, we will all one day be with her. Until we meet again, Greta, may you rest in your much deserved peace.
