Obituary of Luigi Rosati

Luigi "Lou" Rosati passed away suddenly on March 12, 2014. Born in Roccamorice, Italy on August 13, 1949, he was the son of Joseph and Concetta (Cafarelli) Rosati. Lou was a 1967 graduate of DeSales Catholic High School and went on to earn both his bachelor's and master's degrees from Niagara University. While at Niagara he enrolled in the Army ROTC program, where he was commissioned as a first lieutenant and retired as a major after 13 years of service. Lou worked as Vice President of Construction Operations for 30 years at Wendel Companies. He was an active member of the Sunrise Optimist Club, Lockport Elks Lodge, Lock City Golf League and served on the Board of Directors for The Dale Association. In his spare time Lou loved golfing, traveling, casino trips and spending time with his family.
Lou is survived by his wife, Reggie Corica Rosati of Lockport; children, Nicole (Jeremy) Everett and Carrie (Michael) Fick; grandchildren Cameron, Annabelle and Delilah Everett, and Michael Vincent Fick, Jr.; mother, Concetta Rosati; mother-in-law, Annabelle Corica; sister, Margaret (Eugene) Nenni; also survived by several nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Lou will always be remembered for his strong work ethic, generous nature and as the best husband, dad, grandfather, son, brother, relative and friend anyone could ask for.
Relatives and friends may call Sunday, March 16 from 3-7 pm at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Monday, March 17 at All Saints Parish Oratory (St. Joseph's RC Church), 391 Market St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
