I was at the Niagara History Museum with my sister Carol Nemec recently, when she saw Lou's book. She said, "Oh, look, Lou!", seeing his book. She had known him from the Optimist Club. I told her that I had been given the book by an old workmate, Clyde Ferguson a few years ago.
His book "Men of Steel" was spot on with the descriptions of mill work at Simonds, and all the interesting people that I knew.
Wish that I had known Lou Rosati.

I have only happy memories of Lou; from working with him every day for over 25 years, to work parties, to him giving me and Maria his Vet to drive, to NASCAR races at Dover, Delaware. He will be sadly missed. Those memories will always bring a smile to our faces. Our hugs, thoughts and prayers to the family. Salute Lou - with love - Tom and Carla Hart

Very saddened to learn of Lou's passing. As a optimist member (active in past) Lou was one of my favorite mentors. He was a very friendly, enthusiastic person. He was a no frills guy that shot from the hip and didn't want to hear excuses. He wanted to get things done and led by example. He knew when to work and when to have fun. He always had that joyful sparkle in his eyes whether working on a project or having fun. Saying he will be sorely missed is an understatement. Peace and sympathy to those he leaves behind and may Lou always be remembered and rest in peace. Thanks for your selfless service to your country and your community. Deepest sympathy, John Athans
