I had the pleasure of meeting Scott at work. I would see him from time to time at work conference meetings. Everytime I saw him, he greeted me with a nice smile and was always so polite. At the meetings, I remember him making things light-hearted and trying to make people laugh. He seemed to be a genuinely good person. I never knew Scott outside of work but I was shocked and saddened when I heard the news of his passing. My heart goes out to his family and friends. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

How many times do you come across a person who knows so much yet doesn't snob at your ignorance rather helps you know more....who is so senior yet so approachable....who is so talented yet so down to earth....who is very busy professionally yet keeps family first.....This day I miss one of my mentors of life 'Scott' whose sudden demise has left a gaping hole amongst all who knew him.....It was indeed a pleasure to know you my friend and to learn not only professional but the other important aspects of life. May you rest in peace and may God give strength to your family. You will always be remembered as a champ ! Adieu my friend :'(

I am really saddened by unfortunate demise of Scott. A true fighter is what I want to remember Scott as. I was amazed many times as how one can be so cool and calm even when one knows that he is fighting with his life. True inspirer for the people who are in tough times of life. I would like to express my sincere condolences to Scott’s family. May god to find peace and comfort during this difficult time.

I had the pleasure of working with Scott at M&T for the past 5 years and for the past year, actually working directly under Scott. He was a true inspiration to everyone around him. He served as a mentor and teacher to me as I learned the ropes at M&T and more importantly he taught me life lessons on how to be a caring and compassionate person. To know Scott was to love him. My deepest sympathies to the Gribben family. I can't even imagine the loss you must be feeling.

It was my greatest privilege to have worked under Scott for almost 4 years. Few months back, when I got the opportunity to meet Scott in person, I remember telling him how much, we, his team appreciated him and he replied, "Good to know that you guys don't play Dart on my picture".. He was a true leader and a fierce fighter, most humble and great inspiration. You will be missed terribly. My deepest condolences to the Gribben family.

To the Gribben Family My deepest condolences to you at this time. Scott was a great individual and always had such a great attitude. I will always be thankful and appreciate that I made the 'list' of individuals that he would keep updated with his progress and treatments. I admired his strength and positive outlook on life. Scott solidified even more my faith and strength in Christ by the way he approached and handled his illness. I was very sorry to hear about Scott's passing. Although we never met, I spent many hours conversing with Scott as we battled problems with software purchased from the vendor I worked for at the time. While sometimes the issues were quite nerve-rattling, Scott never lost his composure and always tackled the problems in an objective and professional manner. Through this approach, Scott won over the entire support team and we walked the extra mile to help him. To Scott's family, please accept my sincere condolences. Scott was a remarkable person and will be missed by all who knew him. Earle Laycock Canada
