Obituary of David Compton

David Sean Compton, of Lockport, flew on angels wings to rejoin his Lord on Wednesday, June 19, 2013. David made the world better place for his entire family and an infinite number of people in his short 47 years on Earth. He was an accomplished drummer, loved music, and comedy but his chief hobby was to make people laugh, feel good about themselves and help others. David was born in Fort Knox, KY on March 8, 1966. He graduated from Lockport High School, graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's degree at Buffalo State College and his MBA at Canisius College. David earned certifications as a Microsoft Systems Engineer, Cisco Certified Network Administrator and Certified Novell Administrator and worked as a manager in the IT industry. David shared his expertise in computers freely, helping anyone who needed it. His sense of humor and love of family and friends is well known to all those who knew him. David is survived by his adoring wife Veronica DeAngelo Compton and his beautiful children, Olivia and Harrison all Lockport. He is also survived by his loving parents, Dennison and Margaret (Lillis) Compton of Newton, NC; adoring brother, Dr. William Compton of Wilmington, NC, doting sisters, Kimberly Compton of Greenville, SC, Lisa (Donald) Lamb of Hickory, NC, and Patricia Compton of Tallahassee, FL and several nieces and nephews. David is also survived by special uncles Donald and Charles Compton and aunt Debbie Compton who have stood by the family's side through all the trial and tribulations of this past year. He is also survived by numerous other aunts, uncles and many cousins who will miss David's sparkling personality. David is free now and we await the time we will be reunited with him in his joy and happiness. David you will be missed by so many people.
