I met Dave when we both worked at Jaeckle Fleischmann and was immediately drawn to him - as was everyone he came in contact with - by his friendly, caring personality. I have thought of him often since then and will always remember his beautiful smile...and the way he could make others smile by just being around him.

I have known David since he was just a boy, a little older than Harrison is now. Patty says he had a crush on me,which was very flattering because I was an older woman!! I will miss his smile and his sense of humor. He made people forget about their worries with his sharp sense of humor and wit. RIP Dave....

Dave & I go back quite a few years. He began an additional stride in his life many tears ago and I felt honored to be a part of it.When I met him Dave & I had many friends in common and we used to gather at Fog city telling jokes and just talking. There were so many people in our friend group we had to gather huge tables. Dave is funny he loves to make people laugh. I miss those days that is for sure.My prayers go out to the children of Dave,Veronica, family, and friends. I am truly sorry for your loss and boy what a loss is he! To Dave's Family: I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Dave at JF&M and have so many great memories of him. He always made me laugh. I remember stressing out about something work-related one time. After helping me fix the IT problem (as he always did), Dave said to me, "You must not have kids. When you do, stuff like this won't bother you so much." He was right. He definitely had his priorities straight! Again, I am sorry for your loss.

My deepest condolences to you and the entire Compton Family. Dave was so charismatic and so smart! He was quick with a joke, but also there to listen. He was a dedicated family man. He just couldn't wait to have children and tell you all about them. They were truly the highlight of his life. May your days of good memories be many -- and the days of sadness brief. Grace to God for giving us him even for this short time.
