Obituary of Deborah Lynn Ginty

Please share a memory of Deborah to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Deborah L. Ginty, age 70, of Lockport, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Lockport Memorial Hospital, Mt St. Mary’s Campus. Born on January 14, 1954, in Newfane, she was the beloved daughter of the late Ronald K. and Shirley Goff Ramsdell.

Deborah dedicated many years of her life to her work, serving 28 years at Sherwood Celpac and later another 11 years at Armstrong Pumps, Inc., in North Tonawanda, where she retired in 2021 as a Customer Service Manager. Her passion for gardening was evident to all who knew her, and she generously shared her knowledge of plants and flowers with many. Deborah found solace and joy in spending summer nights admiring her garden and listening to great music surrounded by her cherished family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, John M. Ginty. Deborah will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children: Ryan Ginty, Sara (Cliff) LaPort, Breanne (J.R.) Luskin, and Sean Ginty. She was a devoted grandmother to Ariana Henley, Kennedy Ball, Morgan Ginty, Lucas and Nicholas LaPort, and Henry and Nora Luskin. Deborah was the cherished sister of Michael Ramsdell and the late Jeffrey “Toad” Ramsdell.
