Obituary of Shirley J. Morrison
Shirley Morrison (nee Spencer), 88, passed away December 19, 2023 at Ascension Living Our Lady of Peace Nursing Home, Lewiston. She was born in Indianna County, PA on March 8, 1935, the daughter of the late Floyd and Loretta Spencer. Shirley was employed by Sear Robuck on Market Street, Lockport from 1956 until 1960. She later worked for the Barker Central School District for 11 years until 1976 when she went to work for the Niagara County Department of Social Services retiring in 1996 after 20 years.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 69 years, James R. Morrison, whom she married October 23, 1954 in the Barker Methodist Church. She also is survived by her daughter Teresa (Scott) Rhoades; granddaughter Megan (Eric Stein) Rhoades; step-granddaughter Elizabeth Rhoades.
There will be no prior visitation. A graveside service will be held at Acacia Park Cemetery, where she will be entombed.
