Obituary of Joseph S. Pirrone
Joseph S. Pirrone of Lockport, NY passed away on December 7, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in South Buffalo. Born December 9, 1941 in Buffalo, son of Francesco and Carmela (Bevilacqua) Pirrone . Along with his parents he was predeceased by his twin sister Rosalie and brother Francis Pirrone.
Joe graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Canisus College. He was employed for thirty years as a Marketing Manager at Sherwood, Division of Harsco in Lockport and Wheatfield. He was a member of St. John the Baptist parish where he was a proud former assistant scoutmaster Boy Scout leader of Troop 4.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Maureen (Doody) Pirrone, children Michael (Michele Molise) Pirrone of Decatur, GA; Jeffrey (Annie Todd) Pirrone of Buffalo; Timothy (Elizabeth Riggie) Pirrone of Charlotte, NC; Maura (Andrew) Failinger of North Tonawanda, and Sara (Michael) Bayerl of Irondequoit, NY. He is also survived by twelve wonderful and cherished grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport at 10 AM on December 26, 2023. Inurnment will be at a later date in White Chapel Memorial Park. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
