Joanne Hamner passed away July 31, 2017 under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born March 25, 1948 in Lockport she was the daughter of Clarence and Irene (Bump) LaPort. Joanne graduated from Starpoint High School and earned her associates degree from Niagara County Community College. She worked for TOPS Grocery Store for 48 years retiring in 2014. Joanne enjoyed reading, spending time with her family and helping various charities.
Joanne is survived by her husband Vernon Hamner; her daughter Renee (Timothy) Rabideau; two granddaughters Savana and Jocelyn; her siblings Dian LaPort, Paul (Sue) LaPort, and Jen (Jim) Crean; her nephew William LaPort;
Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass on Friday, Aug. 4th at 10 AM in Good Shepherd RC Church, Tonawanda Creek Road, Pendleton. Memorial donations to Niagara Hospice would be appreciated. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
