Obituary of Gerald F. Landrigan

Gerald Francis Landrigan passed away on Saturday July 16, 2016. Born in Lockport on October 20, 1933, he was the son of the late Edward and Lillian Whitehead Landrigan. Gerald graduated from DeSales High School in 1952, and served in the US Army form 1953-1955, as a Military Police Officer. He was a Police Officer for 36 years, for the Lockport Police Department, starting as a Patrolman, then a Detective, Lieutenant and retiring as a Traffic Captain. Jerry was a member of the American Legion B. Leo Dolan Post, the St. Patrick's Holy Name Society, the Navy/Marine Club and the Judges & Police Executives. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf. Jerry is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marion (nee Coates) Landrigan, father of Julia (Robert) Learn, Stephen, Phillip, Eric (Susan), Brian (Julie), Kevin Landrigan and the late Linda, Laura and Lisa Landrigan. Grandfather of Rob (Michelle) Learn, Andy Learn, Christina, Dawn, Josh, Christopher and Crystal Landrigan, Robyn (Victor) Gordon, Megan (Adam) Brown, Caitlin and Nathan Landrigan; great grandfather of Addison and Alexis Learn, Miranda Gordon, Jubal and Sara Brown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Beside his parents and daughters, Jerry is also predeceased by his siblings, Agnes Gillis, Patricia Caro, Edward Jr, Lawrence and Thomas Landrigan. Friends may call on Tuesday July 19th 3-7 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday July 20th at 10 AM, in All Saints RC Parish, 76 Church Street, Lockport.
