Richard H. Shipley Jr., passed away Thursday May 19, 2016 in Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Lockport on June 6, 1959, he was the son of the late Richard H. Sr. and Mary Ruth Gartner Shipley. Richard worked as a sports writer for the Lockport Union Sun and Journal. He was longtime Boston Red Sox and Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan. Richard was known by many as a fun loving and caring person, he will be deeply missed by many.
Richard is survived by his longtime soulmate and girlfriend, Cindy Donaldson-Paz, his siblings, Susan Feeley, Gail (Mark) Hamilton, Karen Shipley and Stephen Shipley. He is also survived by several extended family.
There will be no prior visitation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
