Jacquelyn I. Spedding passed away on Saturday September 12, 2015 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born in Lockport on February 9, 1933, she was the daughter of the late John and Loraine Schuler Devereaux. Jacquelyn was a member of the Wilson Yacht Club and Willowbrook Golf Course. She enjoyed going to Sheehan's Restaurant with her friends, golfing, sewing, baking, gardening, flowers, watching the birds, especially her cardinals and blue jays. Jacquelyn also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, John Spedding III, who passed away on June 3, 2010. Jacquelyn was the sister of Jean Devereaux and Sally Mc Aninch, both of Lockport, Anne Speer of FL., and the late Ronald Devereaux, John Paul Devereaux and Carol Quintana. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Jacquelyn was the dear friend of Barb and Jack Bowers and Millie Jackson. Friends may call Tuesday 4-8 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 12 PM in All Saints RC Parish, 76 Church Street, Lockport. Interment will be in North Ridge Cemetery. Memorials to Niagara Hospice or to Wrights Corners Fire Co., would be appreciated by the family.
