Obituary of John Ross Broughton

John Ross Broughton passed away September 26, 2014. Born in Jasper, NY on October 28, 1937 he was the son of Otto and Ann (Brooks) Broughton. John owned Broughton Concrete in Lockport and also worked for the City of Lockport from 1976 to 1988 where he ran the sidewalk program along with supervising the Youth Bureau. After retirement he worked around his house and loved to talk about history and old times, how times have changed and going to Tom's Diner on the weekends. John is survived by his children John (Jennifer Koons) Broughton Jr. of Fillmore, NY and Jessica (Benjamin Carter) Broughton of Lockport; grandfather of Skylea and Lacey Vincent and Juelz and Azayla Houston; sister of Betty Schmeh of Lockport and the late Carlton "Ruben", Jane, Leole Broughton, and Genevieve Carpenteer; former wife Wendy Trzepkowski of Fillmore, NY and nieces and nephews.
