William A. Natemeier, Jr. passed away June 8, 2014. Born in Lockport on September 5, 1943 he was the son of William A. and Ruth (Hoffmaster) Natemeier, Sr. William was a 1961 graduate of Lockport High School and a 1966 graduate from Valparaiso earning his bachelor's degree in accounting. He worked for GM Powertrain in Tonawanda where he was an accountant for 39 years retiring in 2005. William was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lockport, Elks, Moose, and was a board member Seabreeze Residence Association in Bradenton, FL. He was a life member of the Lockport YMCA where founded the girls swim team, he was also a swim official for high school and colleges and was an officials trainer. William was entered into the Lockport YMCA Aquatic Wall of Fame and received the Sportsman of the year award in 1996. William is survived by his wife of 41 years Karen (Steele) Natemeier of Hammondsport; father of Mark (Jessica) Natemeier of Erie, PA and Debbie (Tim) Lee of Albany, NY; grandfather of Madison, Luke, Ellie, Kierstin, Brady, Jack, and Ryan. William is also survived by his brother David P. (Jane) Natemeier of Lockport. Relatives and friends may call Friday, June 13th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Saturday, June 14th at 10 AM. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
