Obituary of Joan I. Goff

Joan I. Goff, has gone to be with the Lord, June 2, 2014 in Buffalo General Medical Center. Born in Olean, NY August 19, 1936, she was the daughter of Joseph and Nancy (Aaron) Kerr. Joan worked as a waitress at Denny's Restaurant in Lockport for 24 years, retiring in 2009. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Floyd Goff of Lockport, NY; a daughter, Patricia (Gordy) Gilg of York, NY; two sons, Douglas (Kathy) Torrey of Boonton, NJ and Robert (Denise) Torrey of Cassadaga, NY; a brother, Richard Kerr of Duke Center, PA ; as well as many nieces and nephews and grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is predeceased by a son, Kenneth Torrey; a brother, Donald Kerr and two sisters, Patricia Kerr and Mary Lockwood. She will be remembered for her love of life as well as her endless energy, and the many patrons she waited on over the years that considered her a legend at Denny's. Relatives and friends may call Friday, June 6th from 10-11 AM at the Pendleton Center United Methodist Church, 6864 Campbell Blvd. with a memorial service to follow at 11 AM.
