Ada Clara Baes (nee Turrell) of Lockport went home to Heaven to be with Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 23, 2013. She was born on November 30, 1906 in Wolcottsville, NY to John and Emma Turrell. Ada was predeceased by her husband Roland Baes, sister Sylvia Schmegel, and sister-in-law Grace Schiersing. She is survived by her two sons, Wesley (Vicki) Baes and Eugene (Nancy) Baes; grandchildren Charlene Stamper, Shane Baes, Tarrah Owen, Jacob Baes, Hank Baes, Chandra Baes, Benjamin Baes, Katie Qualiana, and Bryce Baes and eleven great grandchildren.
Ada was a lifelong testimony and example of a lady that loved the Lord with all her heart and loved others as herself. She showed unconditional Christian love to whomever she had contact with; as a mother to her two boys, as a 3rd grade teacher at Colonial Village Elementary School, as a Sunday school teacher at Trinity Lutheran Church, as a volunteer at Happy Times Nursery School and as a volunteer at the Dale Association.
