Obituary of Lloyd Bowen

Lloyd W. Bowen passed away Thursday May 23, 2013, in Niagara Hospice House. Born in Lockport on February 21, 1916, he was the son of the late Walter and Jennie Muck Bowen. Lloyd worked and enjoyed spending time on his farm, he also worked for Minneapolis-Moline, selling farming implements. Lloyd also played in the Bowen Family Orchestra, playing round and square dance music with his family. He is predeceased by his wife, Gladys (nee Winters) Bowen, who passed away in 1999.
He is survived by his sons LaVerne (Michele) Bowen and Glenn (Sheryl) Bowen, both of Lockport. Grandfather of Matthew, Jillian, Bradley (Tammy), Brian (Alicia), Megan and Ashley Bowen; great-grandfather of Amber, Sara, Kayle, Jennie and Brian. Lloyd is also survived by his brother, Kermit Bowen.
Friends may call Saturday 2 to 5 PM, in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc., 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, followed immediately by a funeral service at 5 PM. Interment will be in Royalton Union Cemetery, at the convenience of the family.
